4th Studio Album
Somethin Just Aint Right explores the world centered around the 5 years since Joe’s last album. It is a world askew. We have all changed across this planet as the worldwide pandemic took the lives of our friends, family, neighbors, businesses and shook us down to our core. But we are a tough bunch here on earth and we have the power to make our own future while we reflect upon the past.
The album starts with Runaway. It is a the story that we all face, the battle with ourselves inside our own heads. It is the one place we can’t really ever Runaway from and yet we all wish we could on some days.
Winter Dust is about making a conscious decision to take more chances, to try and chase those things that you want in life and not giving up on the dreams despite the most desperate of circumstances.
Backroads features the amazing Duo of Emma Hanlon and Sydney Paige known as Reckless Bound. They bring the chorus of this summer time romp to life. It is about deciding to find a moment of joy in the midst of chaos, despair and loss... to love the good things no matter what...
Ramblings from the Edge is when the facade falls apart and you spend the day sitting in the corner mumbling to yourself hoping for things to evolve quickly.
Garage Sale faces big failures head on and looks for the silver lining. Todd Blower’s incendiary guitar skills are on full display as we pay homage to the old school country rock song with an epic instrumental ending.
When I'm 80 is about celebrating and reflecting upon family and the ups and downs and looking forward with hope to the future. Written specifically for Joe’s Aunt Sandy for her 80th Birthday.
I Guess We’ll Never Know is recognizing that despite all of everything you think you may know or how it comes to pass... you never really know anything at all.
Critical Music Theory is the statement that we all need each other and letting petty nonsense invade us is crippling to us all when we have generations of problems we always ignore.
Such as those happening at Burlington Trailer Park... a conglomerate of many things Joe lived growing up into one story while this endless cycle continues to this day in the same place with a new name.
Beer School is just a fun song to take your mind off of everything and sing loud in the bar.
Someone Else’s Song fits this because it is about finding out you aren't all that... and no matter how good you think someone else is.. they probably aren't either. This is Joe’s most requested tune in his live shows and the crowd from Books & Brews joins in on this track.
Aunt Sylvia is a testament to not giving up and always remembering. Aunt Sylvia is the first song Joe wrote with the purpose of someday making a record way back in 2006 after the death of his aunt. He tried to record it for each of his albums and has never gotten it done until now because something about it... just was never right.
3rd Studio Album
City of Trains takes you on a journey through the ups and downs of love, loss and finding your joy again after something alters your life. Joe lost his brother John in 2017 and many of these songs were written in the aftermath. The title track is about how finding out that sort of news makes the noise of modern society disappear and of the stress and speed of modern day life suddenly comes to a complete stop.
This album contains the song Home which is Joe’s most streamed track to date finding a special place in many people’s playlists during the covid 19 pandemic lockdowns.
Don’t miss out on the last track on the album. The Story in the Song. “For every song there’s a story and every story there’s a song”
Live Acoustic
During the 2018 Acoustic Brews Tour, Joe recorded many shows following requests for his solo acoustic versions of these songs to be on a record.
This show was chosen to be the record not only because of the performance but because it was a private house show at Susie’s Basement. Susie regularly has performers come and perform in a very intimate setting where everyone just feels like they are hanging out and singing some tunes.
This album is a celebration of the spirit of friends and music.
2nd Studio Album
Joe and lead guitarist Todd Blower worked on this album for 3 years trying to find perfection on each of the tracks. They may not have found perfection, but it is a fun album with loads of songs about love, dreams and hope for the future. The Americana Diaries are a series of story stories about life in the American Midwest.
American Dream takes you into the mind of a singer who just wants to play a live show every night and finally gets the chance…while Freedom Highway takes into a place only travelled when love goes off the rails….and Evergreen brings you into a place where love is found again!
The very popular track 2 B with U is a fan favorite… and don’t miss out on the title song…Americana Diary.
First Album
Joe’s first album is an ode to family and friends. He still refers to his children (who are now adults) as The Littles. The title track is all about them and often brings parents to come up and chat with Joe after shows about the connection they feel to it.
Small Town Life is a track about Joe’s first live show in 2012 and the town of Greenfield, Indiana where it took place.
Fusion Road is an ode to Joe’s childhood home and all the fun he had growing up in a rural setting across the road from a farm, and a 1/4 mile from the main train tracks running into Muncie, Indiana with a Golf Course in between.
